Haley
Hi my name is Haley. I am Bailey’s twin sister. I am a Russian Blue kitty.
My fur mom, Bailey and I were brought to the shelter in the morning before they opened, while the staff was cleaning. Mom saw a gentleman carrying an old pineapple box towards the door with bungy cords wrapped around it. She opened the door and asked the gentleman if she could help him and he snapped at her and said, “well if you won’t take them I’ll go down to the lake and throw them in!”
Wow, mom’s blood was at the boiling point with that comment. She went over and grabbed the box with us in it and read him the riot act!
By the time mom was done getting information from him and explaining all the hard work people that rescue animals and shelters do, not only the physical stuff, but the emotional part of what they go through on a daily basis, the gentleman left her a hundred dollar donation. He wasn’t so bad after all mom said. He was just one of the people that needed to be “educated”.
Bailey and I may be twins, but we are certainly opposites. I love to be petted and groomed. Bailey on the other hand, well, she takes after Oreo and Emma. She likes her alone time. 
I still love her though, she’s my other half.
I’m sure glad we never made it to the lake that day!
